We don't collect your data.

Last updated: March 2026

Worth My Time is a free Chrome extension built on a simple principle: your financial information is yours. We've designed the extension from the ground up to process everything locally on your device, so there's nothing to collect, share, or leak.

What data does Worth My Time store?

The extension stores only your preferences — your salary, work hours, currency, and whether the extension is enabled. These settings are saved using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.sync API, which syncs securely across your Chrome devices via your own Google account.

We have no access to this data. It never touches our servers because we don't have any.

What data does Worth My Time collect?

None. The extension contains:

— No analytics or tracking code
— No advertising pixels
— No third-party scripts
— No network requests of any kind
— No logging of the websites you visit
— No logging of the prices you see

What about the prices I see on shopping sites?

Price detection happens entirely in your browser. The extension reads price elements from the page you're on and converts them using your locally stored salary. This calculation is done in memory and is never transmitted anywhere.

Does Worth My Time use cookies?

No. The extension does not set, read, or transmit any cookies.

Does Worth My Time share data with third parties?

No. There are no third parties involved in any part of how Worth My Time works.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Your settings are stored locally in Chrome. You can clear them at any time by removing the extension, or by going to chrome://extensions, clicking Details on Worth My Time, and selecting "Clear Data".

Who operates Worth My Time?

Worth My Time is an independent project. If you have privacy questions, contact us at [email protected].

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Given the nature of the extension, we don't anticipate material changes — but we'll always be transparent if anything does change.

The short version: Worth My Time sees nothing, stores nothing on our end, and shares nothing. Your salary is your business.
